To accomplish its goal, TCGTBI runs and manages a Business Incubator (BI) at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST, Shibpur) to facilitate incubation of new enterprises with innovative technologies by admitting them in BI and providing them physical, technical and networking supports and services.
After a decade of a successful run, it becomes one of the most powerful platforms of Quantity Surveying.
As a part of her global reach, Madhumita also developed a global Social networking group - “Ethical Quantity Surveyors”. Within a few months, it became so popular that she had to create three more groups with the same name to accommodate more than thousands of professional quantity surveyors joining from almost all corners of the globe. Now, these WhatsApp groups are considered one of the most popular social networking QS groups of the world.
With the background of graduation in three distinct technical fields viz. Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Law and a diploma in Architecture, she has another areana of Architecture field also. Madhumita, and her QS Sparrow provides a comprehensive solution to Quantity Surveying in all kinds of Building and Infrastructure projects.
Madhumita believes that an entrepreneur should not confined herein the technical field only but must be stretched out for something novel. Therefore, in 2020 she started another company in a completely different field – ‘Homemade Chocolate’ under the name ‘AZTECC’.
From the beginning of her career as a professional, she believes in social and technical networking. She believes that it is the duty of a professional to give back something to society. Following her principle, she joined the Institution of Public Health Engineers, India, and became its National Council Member. She also has experience of working with The Institution of Engineers (India) and ASCE, India Section. She is the founder of Secretary of IIQS (Indian Institute of Quantity Surveyors), Kolkata Chapter. Madhumita believes that there shall be no end of the learning process of a professional and thus she is now pursuing her study of Quantity Surveying under the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). As a young entrepreneur she also joins in NSRCEL in IIM (Bangalore) for Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme.
